These are brand new in the package, the factory seal is not even broken. These are an RMA replacement from the "Egg". While I was waiting to get the replacements, I ordered another set to keep my system running, so I no longer need these. These are the fabled "HZ" memory modules, and are supposed to be Micron chips. Again, these are brand new in the package, never opened. They also carry a lifetime warranty thru G.Skill.

According to G.Skill, all "HZ" modules are using Micron D9 chips.

I think they maybe Elpida chips on a 6-layer PCB

According to a GSkill tech on XtremeSystems they did use Elpida on some earlier models, but all current models are now Micron D9. At least since the S/N 726XXXXXXXX series. Regardless, they're now sold!! Thanks DIY Street!
