krazypoloc Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Hey guys I'm planning on getting a new VGA cooler for one or both of my 7800GT's. It is going in a HTPC so it needs to be silent or very close to it. I was thinking about getting the Thermalright HR-03 Rev A, but the clearance of the case it is going in is rather stringent. It can't over lap the width of the card at all. I was wondering if anyone had this cooler, and could tell me if it overlaps the sides of your VGA card. krazypoloc Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 So if you don't have this cooler how about a cooler that meets my requirements, and has better than stock cooling characteristics.
juvenile2k Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 I had a HR-03 cooler, the fan mounts directly into the fins with clips. The clips started to actually pull the fins of the heatsink off the heatpipes, personally I would not reccomend but you may have better luck. krazypoloc Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 Oh thanks man I appreciate your advice. After further research it looks like the ZALMAN VF900-CU is going to be my best option.
