DFI LanParty UT nF680i LT problem

Recommended Posts

Suddenly when surfing on the net, mobo shuts down and after restarting by pressing power button boots up again and shuts down for the last time. Thats it! Gives code 8.8 .

What is the problem and what that 88 means? Is it dead or what?

You're going to have to check your motherboard owner's manual for the 88 code.

However that sounds like an issue that a LOT of 680i chipset board owners have. They usually need to shut down and reseat the graphics card (sometimes once... sometimes over and over) and it'll boot.

This may be completely wrong because 88 means you've got a CPU error, but it's better to try something than let it not boot.

A long CMOS clear with power disconnected. If 88 is still returned it will be time for a RMA.
