Need some help with PC/PS3 machine

Please help me answer some questions, so I can finally buy a PS3.

 

Info:

Basically I already have this PC gaming system and wanted to add on a PS3 since I recently bought a 24" that has HDCP.

 

1. Can my Acer AL2416WBsd 24" LCD monitor (HDCP) read 1080p singals? (Only site that actually says it is 1080p http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_...duct_id=0260955)

 

2. Can I play PS3 games in 1080i without issues such as downscaling then upscaling? (1080i due to receiver and whether or not my monitor can read 1080p)

 

3. Would this Sony Component Home Theater System HT-DDW990 (http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores...552921665065947) sound system work good with my PC/PS3 setup? (Max resolution from HDMI output is 1080i)

Actually I just ran into a snag, someone just told me that there are no PS3 games in 1080i which is the max HDMI output of this receiver. Could someone recommend me another one with same amount of features but with HDMI output of 1080p please. Also near same price range would be nice.

 

4. How many cables would I need to buy to get everything setup also what type of cables? (Monitor, Receiver, and PS3)

 

5. If my monitor does support 1080p, should I look into buying a different sound system or receiver? (for a higher hdmi output of 1080p instead of the 1080i on that Sony)

 

6. How should I connect the receiver to the PC? ( I have an Audigy 2 ZS front panel, which has SPDIF, Optical, Aux, and Firewire)
