680i overclocking guide/info?

Recommended Posts

Guest ElAguila

I just got my NF68-A1 mobo installed. I was using a 650i based mobo and I only had a few voltages to set on it. I am using the NF68-A1 mobo with supertalent memory and a Conroe E6600. What do each of these voltages effect in the system and which ones are critical ones to watch when overclocking? I know the memory and cpu core are both important for overclocking and I know that they need to be adjusted.

CPU FSB - does this need to be increased for stability when oc'ing?

nForce SPP - is this the chipset voltage?

nForce MCP - is this the SB voltage that controls the sata drives and other

peripherals?should it be increased?

HT nForce SPP <-> MCP - is this the HT voltage? should it be increased?

When I used my 650i board I only set the cpu voltage, the ram voltage, and the chipset voltage.

if you click the BIOS link in my sig, you'll see the voltage settings I'm using on each. Most everyone with the same setup are using the same voltages, although cpu and mem vary based on the quality of your chips.
