Anyone try it with an 8800GTS yet? I've heard it's got insane graphics and is insanely demanding. Could it be any more demanding than Oblivion or Vegas?

I've got it, just havent installed it yet.

 

It looks incredible on the Xbox360 (played the demo)

 

sadly, no multiplayer =(

 

Not even LAN =-(

I have seen other posts on this game not even the 7900's could keep up with this game on full detail. This game is just nuts from what I have heard. I have the demo just have not installed it yet.

So far, just two teasers. Anyone here willing to blow the skirt from under this one? I'd rather ask you fellas since other boards seem to be filled with idiots that can barely make a coherent sentence much less maintain a well built, stable system.

I have played the demo but i dont think i had it maxed, everything was on high but i didnt have my new monitor so i was limited to 1024x728 and it looked great and i could do the road racing and the buggy racing but the damn rally racing was HARD to me. i'm going to pick up a 360 controller when i get this so i can drive a lil better

Got the game, and it runs great on my setup. Smooth as butter with everything maxed out. It plays pretty good, just takes some adjusting to it's physics. So far on the medium difficulty the AI seems kind of weak, hopefully in the next few tiers it'll get a little more challenging :tooth:

i can play the game, 1680x1050 high details and 4x AA smooth, although the FPS isnt high on fraps but its smooth

 

then once i go 2x aa and ULTRA gets a little choppy in some areas, like the starting point for the first race

I run the same res, with 4x and everything on either High or Ultra where it lets me and I get no type of slow down. Runs great even in rallycross with 8 other cars on screen.

I got 11 FPS at 1680x1050, max settings except for AA, on my 7800 GTX with the demo. My lappy's 7950 GTX was about the same or a little higher at 1920x1200. I had to drop it to 640x480, minimum settings, to maintain 55+ FPS . I wonder if the retail version runs any faster...

I made the mistake of just cranking everything up right off the bat, and at 1680x1050 everything maxed out it brought my system to a stunning 0 fps.

One of the times I fired up the game (after I changed a bunch of settings), it ran at 2-3 FPS on my desktop. Once I restarted it, then it went to 8-20. The same thing might be happening to your system.

Regardless of how well or bad it runs, its still buggy as hell. My game crashes frequently, even gave me a driver error once. They need another patch >_>
