Jachyra007 Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Looks like my Ultra-D's 2xPCI slots took a dump [ 520 bad? ] so I've got a question for a new one. Keeping everything else the same as in my sig, which would be a better option - an Expert or just finding another cheap Ultra-D/SLI-DR? Aside from not having any PCI slots, everything else works fine. Since I finally got the karajan to work, I have sound now. I'd like to stay with DFI, as that would probably cause the least amount of headaches with my Windows install, so any thoughts would be appreciated... Angry_Games Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 just find another Ultra-D there's no reason to move to an Expert honestly unless you have two SLI cards with the big coolers that won't fit in a regular Ultra-D/SLI-DR
WintersFury Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 You should be able to just transfer all your bios settings to another Ultra-D and pop the old HDD's in and not have to do anything. So as Angry said, unless you need the features just get another Ultra-D.
Jachyra007 Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Thats what I was thinking Fury... $50 sounds like a good deal on Ebay, unless there's somewhere else I missed that has them still. I checked all the major places and couldn't find any, even in the For Sale section here on the Street.
