Chipset Cooling need help for DFI NF4 ULTRA D PICS!!

Hey guys i know there are many threads about this but i am still confused.

 

Alright basically this system is 1.5 years old... so i dont plan to SLI... (i would have to mod for that anyways) ... i have one card.

anyways... my chipset stays at 50C IDLE !!! and when gaming 52C ... i dont like this so i was searching and but i still need you guys to help out...

You could try something simple first, like putting better thermal paste on and re-seating the stock fan. But i believe if you get any of those coolers, they come with some paste.

 

Here's an old pic of what my HR-05-SLI looked like, for the most part I'm averaging 40c [32min,43max]

jachyra007 your setup is good... i c u have a fan too but the thing is that i think it would hit my card. but depende where i put the card the upper slot or bottom one..

 

CopyNinjaKakash what were your temps? and what are they after it was installed?

Yes, i threw on an old A64 stock CPU fan, just to see how it affected temps. The HR is designed so the fins can be turned down like I had in that pic, or rotated 90degrees facing the front of the case, overhanging the Sata ports. all 3 of those have great reputation here at the Street, so no matter what you end up with, its a good choice over the stock chipset fan.

I use the Evercool VC-RF (the one non-recomanded), but I had to make the holles biger so it fits. The temps droped 10 degrades from the stock cooling. The fan has 3.700 rtm max with AS5
