8800gtx running 2 differnt temps?

hi all

 

i bought two 8800 gtx with my DFI LANPARTY UT NF590 SLI-M2R/G and i notice that my cards are running 2 differnt temps.top pcie slot is running at 18c.and the bottom one is 39c.but no matter witch one i put in slot 2 it runs at 39c..is this my board or do i need to flash the cards bios.drivers?

 

 

any help would be nice...thx teddy

18C = 64F. Must be in the mid 50's in your house.

Geeze, Peltier cooling for your graphics cards! You planning on challenging K|NGP|N in benchmarking or something?

 

If both cards are reading 20deg higher in the 2nd PCI-E slot it doesn't sound like it would be either card's bios, but rather something with your motherboard. If it's a hardware problem at all. What are you using to monitor your temps? And what BIOS are you using on your mobo?

nope its hot as hell in my house.

 

motherboard bios is 7/23/i think.its the one after the board came out..temp programs i used are nvidas and EVEREST Ultimate Edition.and i have not flashed the cards yet

When running SLI on other cards......the bottom card always ran hotter for me.

in a way thats cool to know.....how hot tho...my 2nd one runs 29c hotter

Mine looks like bad air flow too, I have 2 7600gt ko's. At idle they are within one degree, but maxed out on BF2142 its almost a 15 degree difference at times. Swapping cards doesnt seem to help either, its always card #2 listed in MBM5 thats hotter

Sounds like airflow to me. I like your handle by the way.

i got 2 120 fans blowing on them.

thats the temps at a idle.18c and 39c.at load in bf2142 21c and 50c
