THEnumber337 Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Is anyone else besides me looking forward to the release of Starcraft 2? Perhaps I just really enjoy RTS games on the PC. I used to play Age of Empires II for hours and hours on end and I've devoted quite a few hours to Age of Empires III as well. I've also played various other RTS games. I've been contemplating whether or not to pick up Supreme Commander since it's summer time and I have more time to play games. Any opinions on Starcraft 2 and perhaps other RTS games in general? Like M2TW and Supreme Commander. Oh and if your an RTS fan Supreme commander will knock your socks off. It has the most intuitive control interface I have ever seen. And the graphics are some of the best you'll find. Also if you haven't played medieval 2 Total War that game is also quite amazing. I've been reading reviews of Supreme Commander and it looks like I'll have to get me a copy to mess around with. This is the first I've heard of Medieval 2 Total War. I'll have to look into that. However, knowing Blizzard, and knowing how popular SC and Warcraft are/were, I think I am looking forward to this because I have never played a Blizzard game that was a piece of crap. However, I do remember going over to my friends house and gaming way into the night on Age of Empires II. Hopefully, the release date will be within the next year. suedenim Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 SC and HL were my first forays into LAN gaming - absolutely brilliant especially as you could see your mates face as you totally kicked his *ss and vice versa. My first experience of a 3 race game where each race genuinely felt different yet remained balanced. Here's to hoping that SC2 isn't just a graphics update and couple of new units...
