A 240 Rad should be sufficient to cool a CPU plus the video card. I've used a 240 Rad to cool an Opty 165 @ 3.0GHz and an 8800GTX with no problems.

 

I'm not sure about the pump. I've used the DD D5 pump and have no complaints.

 

What water block will you use for the CPU? I'd pick up the Danger DEN combo D5 pump and TDX water block.

Not sure about that pump; I personally use the D5 and it's near silent.

 

The only reason for the radbox is to mount the RAD externally on the back of the PC; I personally prefer mounting it internally on the top of the PC (requires cutting 2 fan holes). But that's just personal preference based on appearance.

What do you need the Rad Box for?...You have a 240mm radiator...and a 120mm Rad Box...?

 

The radiator is a good choice. Never heard of the pump nor the brand...I would suggest the Laing D5 or other pumps on Danger Den's website...

The only main issue I have with hanging the RAD externally is that someone could break it off.

 

Performancewise there isn't much difference between mounting the RAD externally/internally. It all comes down to how willing/able you are in modding the case.

Thats a very nice waterblock, you might want to get the Universal top, that way if you decide to go AM2, or Conroe you wont need a new top for the waterblock...

Here's a PIC of how I mounted the 240 rad. I cut out an old 120mm fan and used that for the mount. The only problem, can't use the other DVI connection on my graphic card. So if you got an old 120mm fan, you could save yourself $15.

 

Good choice on the water block. Like watsonte says, " Get the Universal top". I only got the 939 and now my kicking myself. Wanted to mount it to the ASUS but no luck. I'll have to contact DD and get the LGA775 mount, if I ever want to use it with the C2D.

I would still recommend getting the LIANG/DD D5 (Swiftech MCP655) pump instead.
