Sup every1, dont no if there is already a part of the forum for this, and if there is, sorry

I just wanted to see every1's idle/load temps - I figured out my temps by running 10 minutes of ATI Tool scanning for artifacts

Here are my temps

Fans running full - Sounds like an airplane

CPU - 37/45

Mobo - 34/35

GPU - 50/69

GPU MEM - 61/63

GPU VRM - 54/64

Seagate - 31/31

Now, all fans running quiet, can barely hear the computer on.

CPU - 39/50

Mobo - 35/39

GPU - 50/71

GPU MEM - 61/63

GPU VRM - 55/66

Seagate - 34/38

My fan setup is, 2 vantec stealth intake fans, 92mm each. 120mm Antec Tri-cool exhaust. Cpu heatsink is stock, and VF-700ALCU for my gfx card.

You think i should put fans on full or keep em on low? Front 2 fans have high/low

  • 2 weeks later...

Since my Coolit Systems Eliminator went back for RMA I put my trusty TT

Big Typhoon back in this time with a Panaflo 115 cfm fan. At 356x9 1.431v

Ambient 19c With fan control on auto in bios the fan only comes on when gaming or Orthos etc typing this the fan is off 35-36c.I am using 4 other

Antec Tri-cool 120mm fans (2 intake 1 rear exhaust 1 window mounted blowing on 8800GTS and 1 200mm top exhaust. Not silent but very acceptable.

Edit: I noticed CoreTemp was off by about 4c so I used SpeedFan calibrated to match TAT. Now idles at 39-40

Currently .. Opteron 165 @ 2.25ghz (250x9.0) under Opteron 275 HSF .. Antec Case back 120mm fan + 2x120mm front fans connected to psu fan connector (fan speed are on high and must be high if connected to psu fan connectors) but they sound super silent cant eve hear the pc on.

33c idle

42-43c full load

<33 my case .. going to replace my HeatsinkFan soon to have proper stuff

Question for the cooling experts here...before when I had an Athlon x2 people usually recommended to have the temperatures of the core below 50ºC for constant use(not talking about record overclocks here)

So what's the safe temperature for the Core2 Duos for 24/7 use??

Pick up a fan controller so that you can put your fans on quiet mode whil not gaming and turn them on full blast while gaming
