CPU Cooler Questions? Tuniq / Thermalright ?

Usually the Opteron/Athlon X2 heatsinks have heatpipes and are beefier than the standard, no-pipe cooler.

The Freezer Pro 64 does a decent job at cooling, but don't expect to go too far. My 165 hit 2.6GHz with 1.4v and temps hit 54C load.

THis dude I know over irc.. has a 3600+ x2 am2 @ 2.75ghz and he idles 18c and 34load .. he said his cpu chip is like overvolted or something forgot what he said. but yea he has 65nm technology too but ah I'll just go with what the reviews mostly say.

Neither one of those. It's not a tower, it's more like the SI-120.

anandtech.com has tested the best coolers and the winners are Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme (new), Thermalright Ultra 120, Tuniq Tower 120 .. these are the top 3...

So Maybe anandtech forgot about that 1. But in this test is better than that one for the fact is being tested on x6800 stock speed an oc'ed..

Well I thought it made more sense with a x6800 since its so fast it produces more heat no matter what :) Hope everyone like this I noticed they didn't even added the Tuniq to the test :)

I am a big fan of the Tuniq, near silent, lightweight for it's size and excellent temps.

Hey steve.. nice pic thanks

You got the non-expert board, my expert should be arriving this week.

What is lapping ? I wonder how much difference would the stock Opteron HSF vs 64 freezer pro do .. until I save for the Tuniq
