catkicker Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 MY inlaws computer, which I built for them has a issue that I haven't been able to figure out. At startup You get a message across the top of the screen that says video card is not plugged in Once you unpug the computer and restart it's fine and works great, for awhile then it does it again. I pulled the pannel and checked the plug it's ok. specs NF3 250 (754) 3700+ clawhamer ATI Radeon X800XL Seagate Hard drive sata. 1 gig of ocz mem. Guest r3d c0m3t Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 might be a bad cable. Agreed. Or (and I'm just throwing out suggestions here) it could be the PSU and the rail that's feeding the video card.
Branjo Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 I had a 9800 pro that did that, and it was a PSU problem. If they dont get adequate juice on startup they just switch off. I had to power off and on or switch around the power connectors. It was alright while in game.
