suedenim Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 Maybe but... NV have no WHQL Vista drivers as yet, ATI do (even without product) and this is important for the OEMs that sell kit en masse e.g., Dell, HP etc.

But XP is still totally fine for me right now. Anyway, what I want to know is when the 8900s are gonna be released!!!

suedenim Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Easy read comparison of 8600's, in SLI and vs 8800 http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=38988
iamkoza Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Gaming wise, it doesn;t make much sense to go with a 8600 if you currently have a 7900 series card, sure you have dx10, but the card isnt powerful enough to turn on the dx10 eye candy? Branjo Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Oooh when the time comes I'll be getting me one of those, prices are very tempting.
Angry_Games Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 considering we still don't have a single DX10 game, and nothing but promises of DX10 games of the future...I'm not too worried about DX10 functionality. bang for the buck is what is important, and right now, 320MB 8800GTS is the best bang for the buck in the world.
