ignignoct5d Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Is there anything I can do to disable the onboard Realtek device that comes with this board, short of removing the entire module. I don't see anything in the BIOS that looks like a disable feature. I uninstalled the drivers, but it keeps poping up in windows as a new detection each time I log on. Could I set the jumpers? Or did I miss something in the BIOS
red930 Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 There should be something in the Bios with only two options - Auto or Disable. I don't have that board though so I could be wrong, probably in the Integrated Peripherals menu though. Otherwise right click on My Computer, click Manage, select Device Manager in the tree, open up the "Sound, Video, and Game Controllers" sub menu. There's probably one for your audio module with a yellow flag of sorts next to it, probably called Realtek - just right click and disable it. You won't see the message again. ignignoct5d Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Thanks. I was just worried there would be some conflict when install another soundcard. Apparently everything is ok. I checked that Integrated Perp thing, didnt see anything. User manual even tells me to go to that section, but nothing...nothing at least I recogize. Thanks. pRASNTH Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 bro, it's known as 'Azalia Link' ; you'll have to set it to 'disable'.
