MACarter02 Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 It seems as though my Karajan audio module is producing a high amount of noise. Not overwhelming, but it makes certain sections of movies hard to hear, etc. I thought the problem was with my old speakers, but I bought new ones (for about 100 dollars) and they still have noise. When I unplug the cable from the modules green audio out jack, the noise ceases. What should I do? Is it drivers, or should I invest in a new sound card? Thanks ahead of time for the help guys. freakyGameR Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 If it is just a little hissing noise, i think that is normal about this karajan audio. How about when playing mp3s?? Anyway updating your realtek driver would help i think.. Try google it somewhere as i dun really remember where to get it.. MACarter02 Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 yea when i listen to a vocal passage on mp3, there is definitely some hissing in the background. Anyone else have any input? EDIT: updated drivers, no help
Mindflux Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 The drivers that come with the board are terrible download the generic ones...I forget what they're called...AC97? or something... That will give you clearer sound, meanwhile the karajan audio isn't really very good to begin with. Mine for one had an un-fixable crackling that was proportional to my cpu usage for no apparent reason. I'd say just get and audigy of some sort. You could probably find one for like $1. I threw my old audigy in here and the sound was much nicer and no more problems
