mean6 Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 For the last month or so, I have found that my system freezes while playing games such as F.E.A.R and S.T.A.L.K.E.R, and Battlefield 2142. Sometimes it's within the first 5 mins, and other times it happens after about a half hour. I installed the latest ATI drivers, and put my system back to default clock speeds and it is still happening. Whenever it freezes, I have to reboot the computer manually. I have checked the event viewer, and nothing is showing up. Does anyone have any opinions on this?? Also, I have checked my temps and they are all fine. TIA

TIA It might be possible that your system is not rock solid stable. What stability testing programs have you used to ensure stability? Is your ATI card overclocked? You might want to run some loops of the 3DMark benchmarks to see if those lock up.
Kingfisher Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 games freezing is usually bad memory timings or video card overheating.
