Splave Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Alright, finally got my p5b from a very special forum member here and I cant seem to flash the darn bios. Been to the asus support website etc and I need to update the afudos before I flash. The thing is, it says to make a bootable floppy but then there is no room for this afudos thing and the bios rom. Tryed without making it bootable and it says remove disk and press and button to restart right after the bios screen. Any insight See what you can make of this http://support.asus.com/technicaldocuments...SLanguage=en-us
Kingfisher Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 I use Asus update, yea yea I know, don't use windows programs to update BIOS. But I have used it with every Asus board I have had and it's just too easy. If you do use it, make sure you are using latest version of it. You can also use EZ Flash inside BIOS. uneedav8 Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Since it wont fit the afudos and the BIOS.rom on the floppy. What you have to do is use two floppy disk......make one the bootable disk with the afudos and use another floppy for just the BIOS.rom alone. I had to do it this way for my P5W board. All the BIOS roms were 1 meg or over.

Oceanborn Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 I used the ez flash on two asus board so far and it worked like a charm in your case you can try doing a CMOS clear with the battery removed to see if that helps
