meltac Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Hello, I have a big problem. my dfi-board won't boot. after power up, the first 3 LEDs switch off. Only the last LED is lit. The screen shows the lanparty logo. thats all. i tried all hints of CMOS-flashing procedures but nothing helped. i already sent it to DFI for repair. today it arrived with the message "repaired". But its all the same like 6 weeks ago. I disconnected any peripherals. Theres only a graphicscard (msi geforce 7600) mounted and an OEM RAM-bar 1GB. I use a 550watt "LC-Power" power supply with a 20pin atx-connector. today i bought an adapter from 20 to 24pin. but it wasn't helpful. Of course i connected all of the four power connectors to the board. Maybe i should use another ps? Or maybe it does a memcheck in background...??? I don't think that my hardware (CPU,RAM,graphicscard) is corrupted because the initial checks to this hardware were successful. Please help me. i really run out of solutions to solve this problem. Thanks
Kingfisher Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Put the RAM in the orange slot furthest from the CPU. Press and hold delete key when you power on your computer. You should be able to enter BIOS and set your timings from inside Genie BIOS. From there you can enable memtest to test your RAM for stability. meltac Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 ok, finally i got it.... it was the memory module....on the one hand the board determines the module but it won't work with it. i bought one with a higher quality and it worked....
