Coors Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Today I was swapping cases with my rigs and I dropped one of my WD 500 gig drives on my desk.....then it fell onto the floor....and guess what it still works lol. I was pissed because I thought I broke it but all the data is still there, no weird noises or clicking or nothing. So Thasp even though I said I had one of them die on me I would deffinately buy another WD in a heart beat. Sometimes . happens with every manufacturer but for the most part they are all pretty good....Maxtor not included lol.
justinj6 Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 http://shop1.outpost.com/product/4799749 This or the WD OEM? Don't know if they are 7200.10 or .9 Some say they have received .10's. On the Seagate website they have no listing for the model # on the Fry's ad. The closest is that shown by Raiderfan. The AS indicates it is in the "desktop storage" catagory. I think any of the drives with a 16MB buffer will be the 7200.10 and with perpendicular recording. I think so don't quote me on that.
