I vote for black.

Why? Candy Apple Red and Gold would be just too, well, "pimpish"!

now I applied a black sandable primer. This will make it easier for sanding it for a super nice flat finish to apply the paint to.

Good job on yer "booth"!

Taking the time to set that up will save you a lot of extra sanding on the case and general cleanup later on!

Change in plans. the paint that I was told was candy apple clear transparent

coat is not candy apple clear transparent. This blows my paint plans out of the water. Luckily I have not sprayed all the pannels the gold color, there still primer and need to be sanded. Basically it just the chasis that is gold.

I will probably look at the selections of red paint and pick one and just paint the case red and apply clear coat.

Sort of bummed but it should be a nice looking case.

Nice progress and good job. I'm still trying

"Picture it with several coats of candy apple red clear coat."
Will the gold show through clear coat? That might be a dumb question.

Your new front fanplate is coving up the bezel mounts. Guess thats where the Rivets and adhesive come into play.

I'm like White_Hair and enjoy the great pics. :)

edit: I see you got a word in before me.
