From NVIDA source:

"To power a single GeForce 8800 GTX card, Nvidia recommends a 450-watt power supply in a PC with a high-end dual-core chip and a typical combination of internal hardware. But the trick is that the power supply must have two PCI Express card power connectors to plug into the two sockets on the back of the card"

However remember minimum recommended PSU for DFI board is 480W. You have 520W with 28A on the 12v rail. A single GTX will require 20A on the 12v rail so you should be fine.

DO PSU's with dual rails not split the load between the rails, so if for example the load is 22A then the load on both 12v rails will be something like 11+11A or 18+4A??

Apologies,

22A load is for the GTS,

the GTX wants 30A on the 12v rail s your PSU is really borderline at 28A.

You may never load it up enough to see a problem, but just one day....

maybe playing something like BF2 you may get a crash. I've done a bit of

looking around and some folk have them running on 500W PSU's. But they all differ in the 12v rail department..

Just make sure you have at least 30A on the 12v rail
