Guest SPQQKY Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Wow, if anyone caught the fights last night, you gotta admit, it was truly exciting. I never really thought Randy could pull it off, I mean, the guy is incredible and I (like most people) really don't like Tim Sylvia, but after watching Randy lose to Chuck twice at LHW, I just didn't think he could do it. Was I surprised and immensely happy when he totally dominated the fight. I was on the edge of my seat and jumped up when the fight was over and Randy came out victorious. Two time LHW Champion and now three time HW Champion, Captain America is truly the most amazing athlete I have ever seen. It was also great to see Rich Franklin come out and be the beast I know him to be. I think it won't be long before we see him go for the belt again. Sad to see Hughes win again. I really can't stand the miserable SOB. I hope he fights Diego Sanchez next and gets his head pounded in.
Guest Tmod Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 I have to agree I was really surprised when Randy kept on giving Tim a good old fashion beat down. I have to say that Randy is the best person that UFC could have representing them, He never has a bad word to say about anyone and he spends time with the fans. I was happy to see Rich win again but I don't think he is ready for another beat down from Anderson. I agree with you on Matt as he is a cocky SOB and deserves another beat down from GSP. All in out a good night of fights. Tmod
Guest SPQQKY Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 I agree that it wouldn't seem Rich is ready for Silva yet, but I also agree with most that Rich wasn't in his game when he fought Silva the first time. I honestly think he still has the best chance of taking back the belt at this point. A lot of people don't like Mike Swick, but he is about the only other 185 lber, other than Rich, that has the striking needed to stop Silva. Some truly good fights that night, even the undercard fight was good. There are 4 other fights that didn't air that I will also download and watch within the next couple of days. Darkorb Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 i thought silvia truly had that, that was really stupid that he fell right in the beg, and it didn't look like silvia had any motivation whatsoever to make some moves, he was just doing little jabs the whole time overall, i thought it was a boring fight
Guest SPQQKY Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 He was stunned from the beginning though, Randy caught him dead on right away and set the pace immediately. The action wasn't that amazing (not like Griffith vs. Bonnar), but it was exciting none-the-less to see Randy dominate the fight and come out with the belt.
