mothow Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Just a little while ago i was doing something in side my case and i touched the stock northbridge h/s and my god was it hot.I could not hold my finger there for more than 7 seconds before it was just to hot. What would be the best air cooler for this?I think i saw someonr here using the Evercool VC-RE Twinkling VGA Cooler on this but im not sure even that could cool this sucker down.I dont think the NF4 chipset gets anywere near as hot as the 965P. Is the Evercool VC-RE Twinkling VGA Cooler good enough if so ill have to grab another one for this board even though the one on my Ultra D just died the other day.But that was because my 6800GS was touching the fan and caused it to burn out Evercool VC-RE Twinkling VGA Cooler
Coors Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 What volts are you putting through it? Mine at stock NB volts is only slightly warm (though mine has a slightly better HS). The cpu is at 1.4 volts.

Branjo Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Could try this, there is a customer review that has a similar setup to you. Plus it just looks so damn cute ( not a reason to buy it but....) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16835116018

wevsspot Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 You might also consider the Thermalright HR-05 or the SLi version of it. It is a wonderful n/b cooler. I really like mine.
Kingfisher Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 where do i connect the power if i put that evercool cooling fan To be honest, the best set-up would be to get a fan controller. I love mine, fits nicely underneath my opticals in the front of my case. They work great and allow you to keep the fan noise down when needed. It's also a good idea to keep your fans from drawing power from your motherboard, less stress may help in your stability.
