cdersham Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 GeForce 8800GTS 320MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card VS GeForce 7950GX2 512-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Dual GPU HDCP
Syngensmyth Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Holy gigabyte, that thing has a lot of ram. Slower clock, fewer pipelines, slower memory, DX9, higher price. I have neither but would choose 8800. The 7950GX2 would definitely be a screamer, no doubt in my mind.
ollietwinam Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Yeah 8800, probably more powerful to be honest
Darkorb Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 if you were going to pay that much for a 7950gx2, u can prolly even get the 640mb version of the 8800gts, or even if u search around a cheap 8800gtx
Coors Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 I like my 7950gx2 but right now the 8800 is the much better bang for the buck.

Chris Hi there.. Well, the 8800 will give you better performance, but my 7950GX2 that i offer you kill's your 7600GT's And because that i don't have anything but the cards, and now 2 coolers, i won't take any $$ in the trade.. Pretty fair for you, but you have to chose I'm not desperate
Coors Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Who the heck is gonna trade you a 7950gx2 for 2x 7600gt's? That is a very good deal for you seeing as how the 7950gx2 is worth more than both 7600's combined. I would go for it if it is legit and from a trustworthy person. I'm selling out one of my cards, because of space problems with Quad-SLI.. The reason for a trade here is that i need 2x 7600GT for 2 HTPC projects, so thats perfect for me
Syngensmyth Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 No offense but Han$en needs to have some references. Of course you both new that, silly me.
cdersham Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 hmmmmmmmmmmm I just don't know.... i really like those 8800's are nasty...but ur right that the 7950gx2 does kill my current setup
Syngensmyth Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 No offense to Han$en but sell your 2 7600's and kick in the extra and buy the 8800. If the trade could be made more locally with someone you know, or even someone we have all done business with on this forum it would be a great deal. Why risk it?
