Temp sensors

I hate those darn things and usually end up wrecking them. Best I have done is wedge them into a fin somewhere as close to the heat source as possible. It would give you a "comfort level" maybe as to the sensor/diode readings in software. If you are lucky, it could even be close.

 

I do notice that the people who make them don't seem to have a clue either.

 

It will be interesting to see if anyone has an answer.

I stick mine to the little edge of the IHS of my CPU then mounted my infinity. Doesnt affect cooling and I get accurate readings that are identical to almost every program. (smart guardian is higher).

 

As for the GPU... I just leave the heatsink on and slide the probe under the little space until its touching the side of GPU chip. Not quite as accurate but close.
