o-p-m Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 I sent my computer off to a guy who bought it. Apparently UPS really wrecked the package, the front door on the Antec p180 got jacked up and fell completely off when he opened it, anyways. He is unable to boot the computer up, he tried to and it acts like it wants to start but it stops and the 4 red debugger lights come up. He tried resetting the bios, taking the battery out and all that junk but it still hasn't fixed it. Any ideas?

tasr Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 If you shipped the computer completely assembled, like with the heat sink on the CPU, there is a high chance that the motherboard is damaged. Check ALL connector and make sure all 4 power connectors are plugged in. Do a long 8hr 12hr or more CMOS clear like this and follow it exactly. Then if you can get posted, Load Optimized Defaults in the BIOS and see if it will boot.
o-p-m Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Think i could get away with filing a claim with UPS.
old_geekster Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Think i could get away with filing a claim with UPS. If you insured it, yes. If not, you will have some problems. This is the reason that I always use FedEx. UPS always delivers packages in terrible condition. I have never had a problem with FedEx, even when I owned a business. o-p-m Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Well my buddy filed a claim on a bowling ball that had a giant gash in it and he still has not seen the ball or any money and its been 3 months. So I think i'm gonna order him a new mobo and see what happens. I could always return it.
