Bu113t Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Ok I have been looking for a 22-24" Monitor. I finally raised enough money to get a new screen. I understand that going to 24" will almost double the cost so lets say a 22-23" would be best. What you got? There is these but it doesnt have many hook ups for future expansion of use. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16824116060 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16824001083 One that I am considering: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16824005088 Why is it the only one that has a 3000"1 C/R? any thoughts on ones that you have experience with would be appreciated Thanks. Should I even go that big maybe 20.1 would be better.

Bu113t Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 A great place to get lots of info on widescreen monitors is WIDE SCREEN GAMING FORUM -yonton228/timmy Bah work keeps me from going to that site. ill check it our when I get home. Why 22"? Its bigger!! I know bigger isnt better but what is the advantage of a 20" over a 22" or than cost. Would I be at a disadantage wit hthe bigger screen? With the extra cash I could get my wife a new digital camera she would like that. If 20" is better which one then do you reccomend I am open to suggestions. Thanks for your inpt. ghettotech Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 i have the benq 20.1 and love it. I used to run a 21 CRT. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16824014105 Personally i would go somewhere and look at the resolutions in person before buying online. Like others have mentioned the 22's you are looking at have bigger pixels and support the same native resolution as a 20 or 20.1. To some people bigger is better. its all personal preference if you ask me. 2 inches is a decent amount when dealing with a monitor that is only a few feet away. suedenim Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 With the 22" screen you don't have to get as close to see the pixellation but it will have more wow factor. I guess you have done a little research into the panel types you are interested in? My prefs are S-IPS then TN. TN is faster at switching pixel state but not so hot on colours or viewing angles... Here is an interesting websote about differnet panels http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/articles/content/6bit_8bit.htm I am looking at the Samsung 226BW also. After reading this article I will look at some NEC models. Thanks everyone for your input
