drakenorden Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 The computer sounds like the hardware stops after the POST and I am unable to get into BIOS. (exception below) My computer has done this before and I did a CMOS clear to fix the problem. (24 hours) It's happened again and I ran a 12 and 24 hour clear. Neither worked. the interesting part is, if my hard drive isn't connected, I can get to BIOS. My schools computer teacher suggested that I replace the CMOS battery. I did and it was a no go. The only progress, after was replacing the battery, was it got to the winxp loading screen and never got past that. It only did that once and went back to hanging at the mobo logo. Any suggestions? Sharp Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 Hello, Replace the SATA DATA cable. Use 1 memory module in the top orange slot. And see what happens.

Hopefully, it lasts and you are my new favorite person.
Sharp Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 When you are ready try dual channel mode again, it might have been just the cable.
