RIAD what's it really mean?

Recommended Posts

I want to use raid 0+1, but the choices don’t say that they say this in the book.

• Selecting the RAID Mode

By default, this is set to Mirroring. To change to a different RAID

arrow key until the mode that you want appears in the RAID

Mirroring, Striping, Spanning, Stripe Mirroring or RAID 5.

Note: Not all RAID levels are supported on all platforms.

I think it breaks down like this but does anybody really know?

I would like to know what I build for sure.

Here is what I think they mean, does anybody know for sure.

RAID Types

Mirroring = Raid 0

Striping = Raid 1

Spanning = wtf not a clue

Stripe Mirroring = 0+1

RAID 5 = RAID 5
