Audigy2 ZS vs Karajan

Ok, let me first start with my dilemma. I just recently purchased a CM Stacker to move my system into (needed more room/better cooling). I would like to be able to use the front jacks for headphones/mic on the case, since my speakers only have a headphone jack on the controller box thing.

 

From what I can tell from searching around the net is that its a real pain getting the front I/O panels hooked up and working correctly with the Creative cards thanks to their use of a proprietary plug :mad: So I was thinking of just using the onboard audio on my Ultra-D since that appears to have a plug that I can use from the included connector with my Stacker. I mainly use headphones or my 2.1 speakers so would I really notice a difference?

Probably not, the Karajan really doesn't have all that terrible sound quality.

It depends on the quality of your headphones/speakers. I found there to be a difference when using my Sennheiser HD570 headphones, but not so much for the cheaper ones I have lying around

Karajan isn't terrible really, but it's Audigy 2 ZS hands down.

 

It's a pain, but it can be done right? go for it I say . . . . .

The Karajan won't have bad quality, but I just get annoyed with onboard sound, as I usually get a buzz in my headphones with the CPU is put on high load, i.e. gaming.
