Note: this is a mixture of new case build, some modifications, phase change isolation, and overclocking related thread and I decided to post it here. Mods, if you think that it belongs somewhere else please move it - thanks. Hey there, I finally put everything in my case. It took more than 2.5 months for gathering parts, finding time from work, waiting for my mach 1 repair, etc. More importantly i am a butcher when it comes to use tools (even tough I spend considerable amount of thinking and planning). Well, first of all, I decided to sell my 3.6ghz rock stable 6400 setting with ds3 and ocz promos ram. I was also using a 6 years old inwin case which I bought for $20 last year: Then I finalized my parts (over a 4 months time period): asus p5b deluxe e6600 2gb team group 44410 set(d9gmh) radeon x1800xt 2x hitachi 80gb deskstar's 500gb wd caviar se Seasonic M12-700 CM Stacker 830 22" ibm crt (sony tube) tons of cables (fan + molex + various others) various fans mach1 socket 775 mounting kit isolation materials against condensation plexiglass + silicon + loctite + some other glues and much more (like dremel, heat gun, jig saw, dmm, molex removal kit, ryobi drill …) In the beginning I decided to modify my NB and SB cooling – details are in this thread:http://www.diy-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=73641 After that job, I didn’t want to cut holes in the beautiful cm stacker 830, so I bought a plexiglass and all necessary tools. All this time, I was reading and reading more! about which case to buy, what parts to select, what tools to use – how to use them, and of course trying to go after online deals to make life cheaper. I believe the hardest task along the journey was trying to learn how to use frikkin tools – even a basic screwdriver without magnetic bits was so annoying! As you can see in the pictures especially the corners are really bad. I didn’t want to buy another plexi so I said what the heck and bought some silicone to fill in the gaps between the plexi and the case. But I wasn’t sure of its binding strength so also used black electrical tape after the silicone settled which is really ghetto!! By the way, dremel circular hole cutting tool is really neat and with the 561 drill bit I managed to cut clean circles (especially after some sanding). But again, I messed up the measurements so my first circle ended to be bigger than I anticipated, lol. I am hoping that my next project will look much better than this attempt. We live in the second floor of an 110 years old farm house and there is 2.5 rooms + kitchen + a living room. I literally filled one of the rooms with all of my stuff and we started to hate that room. I am so happy that it's over Pyro, if someone has all the tools and order the parts in 2 or 3 batches - with some experience - all work can be done in a week or so. Yeah i have put a lot of work into mine I wish i had a work log for it but I just got a digital camera so I'm starting at the final steps powder coating it at the moment.
