ABADD0N Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Hello there, first of all hello everybody, it's nice to find such an active community all about helping out each other with hardware and software related problems. Well, as most of the people in here i found this forum while searching for a solution for my problem, since i didn't find any, i'm counting on you guys to help me out, here it is: I have a DFI UT nF4 Ultra-D mobo and it's working perfect, no problems, my younger brother wanted to build a new pc, and so i helped him, since he liked my pc we aimed at building one similar to mine, this is the setup: DFI UT nF4 SLI-D 3700+ San Diego 2 x 1Gb Corsair Xtreme TwinX 4000PT CoolerMaster iGreen PSU 500W Seagate 250Gb SATAII Chaintech 6600GT PCI-E So this is it, we assembled everything together and turned it on, everything seemed to be fine, system boot up ok, great, so we hit DEL and enter the setup, the only thing we did was enabling memtest and then we saved settings and exited the setup... Right after this system wouldn't boot up anymore, we thought something was messed up, so we did a clear cmos and fired it up again, once again everything booted up fine, so we entered setup again, this time, we decided to not change ANYTHING at all, we just entered setup, discarded all changes and exited, and what a surprise, it didn't boot up anymore... thing is, everything works fine with only 1 memory module, but when we install both is doesn't work, we thought one of the sticks could be bad, so we tested each one separatedely, but they were 100% ok at default settings. The annoying factor here is that we then tested everything at the Ultra-D and it worked flawlessly, why is the SLI-D acting this way? I'm out of ideas here, anyone ever seen something like that before? Any help will be appreciate guys, thank you. P.S. Sorry for the large post, thank you again.
