Devil 07 Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I was looking at various water cooling vendors sites for stuff to chill my video card and I cam across this 1200watt water cooled PSU. My PSU has big heat pipes sticking out the back to help keep the power transistors cool but is liquid cooling them really nessicery? Check this out. greatscott68 Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 In a word - no. I suppose it would be one less fan running, and that would be about it. Cool? Sure. Necessary - not even close
Angry_Games Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 no if you need to watercool your psu, you got a poorly built psu that cannot dissipate heat properly (and is horribly inefficient)

I don’t have an opinion on whether you need it or not but it made me chuckle. I think it’s like spinners & neon’s you don’t need them but if you got to have bling then there you go. Thraxz Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Really, it's just a gimmick. From what I've read the PSU is pretty sound, however there are just better PSUs.
radodrill Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Just one more way of saying "look what i can do"; but doesn't offer any tangible benefits. And for $500 I'd much rather buy a PCP&C.

Devil 07 Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 I kinda hope some H/W site does a review of this some day, I'm kinda interested to see what they cooled inside and how.
