red930 Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Is that little handle-looking thing at the end supposed to be for a support like I see in Dell's/Gateway's/Etc's computers? That thing is massive... and that's quite an odd angle of placement for the power connectors. Not to mention the new 8-pin connector... Those of you with Stackers should see how bigass this thing is EDIT: Gee, Thraxz, thanks for pointing out how I'm stupid. General Septem Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Where are you supposed to get the 8-pin connector from?
thefabe Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 The newer power supplies are going to have 8pin eps pluggs for the video cards. some of the older power supplies already have 1 8 pin eps for the Expert type board. So you could use that style power supply on an sli-d or ultra-d board. silverstone has a 1000watt out with the 2x8 pin eps http://www.silverstonetek.com/products-op1000.htm
Guest r3d c0m3t Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Also from what I've been reading that seems to be the card Apple PC's will use.

Technohydra Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 Dunno. For the most part, I can't get excited about an ATI product Untill I see the testing results from a third party. It's too easy to get wowed with their usual impressive looking numbers to remember that all the digits in the world mean crap if it doesn't perform. Course I'm an Nvidia man all the way, so it's tough for me to get excited about this beast in the first place, hehe. Seriously, let's see what the results look like before we all sell our cars to grab one, only to realize the OEM shop isn't in walking distance, hehe.
