RDX200 CF-DR Vista Users?

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to know if anyone here has Vista running on/with an RDX200...as I can't seem to find any IGP/SB drivers for the board that are Vista compatible on ATI/AMD's site...and I really wanna try out Vista for myself without having things barely working right off the bat.

Anyone running this "combo" or who can confirm that I'll be fine without the drivers in Vista for some reason?

Sorry if this thread is kinda a double post, but I honestly could not find the last thread anywhere.

Hey, I'm running Vista Home Premium 32-bit on my machine with no problems at all.

These are the drivers you need (if you're planning on running 32-bit):

http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/vista32...on-vista32.html

The chipset/southbridge drivers are included with ATI's display drivers.

You don't need the drivers initially to install Vista, it should work fine without them, but I'd install them just to stay updated!

Sorry, hadn't updated the thread...I've now been running Vista for the better part of a week and things are going great. The drivers are installed and the installation itself went just fine. I must say I was concerned at first, but everything has worked out for the better and I will not be moving back to XP. I have yet to find any major (or even more insignificant) apps that do not work in Vista and I must say I'm quite pleased.

Thanks you guys...but no more help required.

I ran Vista 64 bit for about two weeks on the RDX200 without any significant problems. I was impressed that it worked at all, but found the performance to be lacking so I went back to Winxp 32bit.

This is a very interesting thread. I have the RDX200 motherboard in another rig. I have intentions to upgrade both of my rigs to Vista 64-bit by the end of this year. Does anyone here has Vista 64-bit installed on a RDX200 or a CFX3200 with an AMD dual-core processor? If so, how's the performance?

About the raid ...for me its a no go ...pretty sure it des not work for any one.USB an Ports are fine

i´m about to try vista ultimate 64bit on my rdx200 on a 20gb partition of my raid0 array. what ur sayin makes me kinda nervous... i was looking on the dfi site for a f6-driverdisk, like the one u need for installing winxp on a raid array, but couldn´t find anything like that. are those drivers included in vista or is this why u can´t get it installed?

Please share your experience with Vista 64-bit on this motherboard. I'm thinking about upgrading to Vista as well on my CFX3200. I would like to know what kind of performance that will be gained or lost over Windows XP.
