DDR2 - Which 2x1Gb Memory would you suggest?

Check my sig for my planned build.

I may fiddle with overclocking a little. Preferrably on straight air cooling.

But I'd like great performance at stock speeds. And stability. WOW, am I ever tired of the unstable PC experience due to crap ram!

My budget for memory is about $300-350CAN, so... I guess... about $275US. I mean, I would rather spend less than that, so if you think a less expensive option would work for me... that would be great.

I have no loyalties or leanings to any specific brand. I'm fairly new to this... so, I'm open to anything.

What do you suggest? And thanks for anybody's help.

I have the g.skill ddr800 hz's. They're a little more than your price range but I have always had nothing but great experiences with g.skill and have no reason to believe these are going to be any different. Your best bet would probably be a pair of ddr800's.

And I would also consider other boards then just DFI. There are many others out there that are just as good if not better.

Edit: Actually it seems that the price has gone down a little putting them right at your price range. But thats at newegg. I'm not sure what they cost at a place that ships to Canada.

No matter what I would check ram list and try and get some D9's.

Thanks for your suggestions, Rev, but... what are D9s? I guess I could google it, but this is a more enjoyable way to seek info. :)

Thanks for your help..

The Overclocking Database is always your first turn when looking to see what the rest of us are using for our rigs and getting nice stable overclocks out of them. Go look there and see what real users are getting on proven-stable overclocks.

Well, here it is... my planned build, coming in at around $1700CAN before taxes and WinXP OS purchase. Most components coming from directcanada.com.

Please, everybody... take a look at what I'm thinking and give opinions.

NOTE: Assume that I will leave everything at stock speeds. Perhaps in the future I will try to overclock this system, but my first concern is that it will be a fast, stable performer "as is".

Thanks for your help.
