Reset settings when adding RAM?

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I'm new to this board and Overclocking. Just built my system last month.

Followed some tips here and from the old board (dficlub.org...) and over the last 2 weeks I gradually O.C. my E6400 from 2.13 to 2.623Mhz. RAM at 4.4.4.12 with 533Mhz (1:1), 15.6us Refresh mode, Write precharge 13, Read delay(same) 11, delay (diff) 2, 2, 2, 1, 7 Data A 2.25, Data B 2.25, 2.25,2.25,2.25.

Everything running smooth @ 39C-41C on air-cooled 3 fan system.

My RAM are Kingston 1GB 240-Pin SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) KVR667D2N5/1G and 512MB 240-Pin SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300)KVR667D2N5/512 = 1.5GB with the above O.C. settings.

I'm planning on adding another 1GB (same as above) from Newgg this week. Do I simply install the new RAM or do I have to reset my Genie Bios setting to default before installing? Also, should I leave the 512MB card in to = 2.5GB? Or should I leave the 512MB card uot?

Same question I guess for any additions I make... like Video cards etc. Do I leave the O.C. settings or reset to default when installing???

May seem trivial to you guys, but I like researching and getting the right methods before I screw things up... which is usual.

Thanks,

Baja Bum
