Guest Radiohead Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Well put it this way most folks running water cooling aren't running it because they are running the CPU at stock Vcore. Your Vcore should be set at stock especially if you aren't OCing at this point. Could bery well his reason for selling the chip. I don't imagine it came cheap new. He may have realsied the err of his ways and sold the chip while it was still working to cut his losses. Thats the one thing you have to be careful about when you buy in forums or on places like Ebay. When you install one of these chips its not like taking it out of the original package for the first time. Theres no guarantee. If the chip is OK it should run just fine with the Vcore set to auto then see where it will go from there if it'll go anywhere at all. HITandRUN Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 I wouldn't get any cooling kit's unless there are quality parts involved. Buy all the part separately and you can choose the price as well as the manufacturer! For CPU cooling blocks I wouldn't use anything else but Danger Den or Swiftech.
