I know most of you guys got it set up and working already but this is for anyone who is having trouble on there Expert or SLI-D RAID on Vista x64. This is how I got mine to work.

Vista x64 RAID nForce 4

Install drivers from here : Vista_x64_RTM_LEGACY_nForce4_SataRaid_drivers.rar.

http://rapidshare.com/files/3561798/Vista_...rivers.rar.html

Unzip with this:

http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar362.exe

Put the downloaded files to floppy or flash drive....

Once Vista x64 ask for which hard drive to install OS in......click load drivers

From floppy or flash drive.....install these files in this order:

1. NVIDIA nForce RAID CLASS Contoller

2. NVIDIA nForce RAID CLASS Device

3. NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA Controller

Then it should recognize the RAID array.

Sorry for the draw out post......just though it might help others with DFI Nforce 4 boards setting up raid....this should work with the Expert and SLI-D for Vista x64 = ) I set it up yesterday on my board and its working like a champ.

You should have mentioned where you found this method and the download link. Otherwise users may think, that you did more than just searching in the internet.

It took me a long time to elaborate this solution to get Vista installed onto my DFI NF4 Ultra-D SataRaid system.

Everyone knows about that site......I just figure I would try to make it easier for people with DFI Nforce boards who wanted to setup RAID. Because I tried every method and finally found one that work. I did not try to be sneaky or take the credit for it.

Everyone knows about that site because its the first one that comes up in the search......I just figure I would try to make it easier for people with DFI Nforce boards who wanted to setup RAID. I had to try every method and finally found one that worked. I did not try to be sneaky or take the credit for it by any means.

If everyone knows about my guide at nForcersHQ forum, why did you start this thread?

It should be a rule not to post a direct download link and give an extract of any guide or work-around without giving an information about the source.

By the way: The method you posted is already outdated, because I found a better way to get Vista x86 and x64 installed onto a LEGACY mode nForce4 SataRaid system. Contrary to your thread starter I try to keep my guide up-to-date.
