soundx98 Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 Be very careful it will eat through Aluminum
momoceio Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 I read that these new metalpads don't eat through aluminum like the syringe applied product. It supposedly is removed much easier too...just flakes off. I still don't' think it's any better than AS5 though.
fariss Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 The ad claims it's safe on aluminum. Also claims better than any of the pastes.
soundx98 Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 Sorry, should have read closer. But I'm a Ceramique guy all the way.
Thasp Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 A bit expensive, but... How many people here, at least once, have went through taking something off, and having to use 30 q-tips and alcohol to clean it up but still didn't get everything off 100%? This is what I hate about thermal paste.. the annoying work involved. I can't think of a substance off the top of my head that I've had to clean off, that was so small, that took so many q-tips. It'd be nice to use something like this.
HITandRUN Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 When this stuff came out I bought it and did some testing. There should be some thread abut it here. I had a temp drop of 3-5C. I didn't like it because it is conductive and almost act like Mercury (if you ever broke a thermometer you know how it looks like)
