gabbadoo Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 I live in Denmark but purchased my mainboard from a German retailer. It seems one of my memory sockets is faulty. 1. Since I bought it from a German retailer, can I use the DFI direct RMA service or will I need to ship it to the retailer in order to get a replacement? 2. Will I get a replacement motherboard while waiting on the new board?
Sharp Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Hello, You should be able to send it directly to DFI. Make sure you contact them first. Will they issue you a replacement while you wait? No. What is the problem with your socket? - DIMM1 and DIMM2 will work on their own. - DIMM3 and DIMM4 will not work on their own. gabbadoo Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 How do I contact them first? I really only want to ship the board to DFI directly - I don't need the board to sit and wait a week at the retailer. How do I contact them first? gabbadoo Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 I just had a look at the form, but there's no field saying Denmark. I don't live in Belgium.

Sharp Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Also this is DFI's official forum, they should be able to answer your RMA question. http://global.dficlub.com/
