Guest laydback Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 I recommend getting an aftermarket cooler before you overclock. Better safe then sorry.

My memory is running at 2.8v 2-2-2-6 cheers lee It is recommended to get an aftermarket heatsink like laydback said. If you don't want to spend a lot of money, I'd recommend the AC Freezer 64 Pro for around $20. Otherwise, a Tuniq Tower or TT BT will do well. Anyways, for overclocking, check out the overclocking database (OCDB) and search for users with similar settings as you. Guest Radiohead Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 I gotta say I've done a fair bit of OCing with my 55 and the stock heatpipe cooler that ships with these chips equals the job of the Arctic Freezer pro as I've used both and really haven't found much difference. I do have to say though the Freezer pro is quiet, worls well and just generally moves more air about in your case and thats important to keep your ambients under control and cool quite a bit of stuff at the top of the board.
