What Is The Best FX-60 Stepping Socket 939?

Recommended Posts

Ive been buying and selling a few FX-60s on Ebay. I intend to keep one for myself before Im done but dont know much about FX 60 Steppings. I googled it and couldnt find what I was looking for. Anyone here know the best stepping for the FX 60 as far as overclocking ability goes? Thanks in advance for your "positive" input.

I think CL had a CCB2E 0608- - - W

I think she got it to 2.95GHz tops.

What steppings can you pick from?

I sold a CCBIE 0622FPMW on Ebay this week. A new one just arrived it is a CCBIE 0627TPMW. Two more are incoming & I have no idea what there steppings will be.

A few things I dug up:

http://www.allegro.pl/item145880872_x2_380...kt_okazja_.html

It was an X2 3800, but the stepping was identical except for the LCB1E, with the L standing for (I'm assuming) 2x512 cache. Said he got it to 3GHz with 1.5v (I guess).

Page was translated, but there's a result under some guy named BatmanXX with a 3GHz OC on 1.44v.

Sorry if this was useless to you

Not anymore it isnt. FX-60 is 299.99 at Tiger Direct in a Motherboard combo:)

I see what your saying though.

I think most people bought the FX-60 just because of the unlocked multiplier. Other than that, I really see no logical reason to buy an FX (other than the cool box and sticker :D)

I have Optys as well but I have several PCs and wanted to have a Fx 60 in at least one of them:) Besides Im not the best OCer. I can most likely make my FX 60 run higher than I can my Optys with the skills I have atm anyways.
