funny RAM issue

Recommended Posts

I'm currently OC'ing the system in the sig.

I'm trying to find out the max CPU freq. so, i put the RAM at the lowest div.

the problem is, that the RAM keeps needing higher DRAM voltage, even though i'm trying to make it work at very loose timings and freq.

For example, in order to run the HTT @280 (=cpu @2.53 Ghz) I need to give the RAM 2.1V (stock is 1.8V).

I don't understand that. I'm not overclocking the RAM at all, even underclocking it and still, I need to pump more volts into it. How can it be?

I know my CPU can go a lot higher than 2.53. But i'm afraid that more than 2.1V will fry the RAM.

Thanks for any help...
