DFI Coldboot Issue with S12 Rev.2 -> !!! SOLVED !!!

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody,

I'm happy to announce that I finally found a way to use a Seasonic S12 Rev.1-2 with the DFI Boards without having the coldboot problem where you just see a blank screen and nothing happens so you have to push the switch on the back of the PSU to properly boot up.

This can be avoided if you set the CPU VID & VID Special Control to values other than Auto ! Do not use Auto here ! I can reproduce this issue and everytime both of the CPU VID are set to "Auto", he won't boot up properly. As soon as I change the values to manual numbers like 1.200V & 110% everything works fine!

>> Do NOT use "Auto"-Setting in both CPU-VID Options !!!

Hope this will help some people :)
