85Dave Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 my other dell desktop has been getting noisy...its the case fan in the back. The fan just stopped working this morning. the fan reads as follows: JMC Datech Model#: 0925-12HBTA 12vDC 0.60A Brushless The fan is 3.5 inches from side to side Dell quoted me $30 for a new one!!! I dont know how to measure these fans ..what do you do? side to side or corner to corner? all I need is for this fan to plug back into its power spot on the mobo and fit on the case The only other thing I can think of at this point is to get the same size fan with the same connector but in a different brand, im looking towards Antec
radodrill Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Fans are measured in mm from side to side; so that would be a 92mm case fan. They can be acquired for <$10 from any computer parts store such as NewEgg, SVC, Jab-tech, etc.
Massakre Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Why not look for other brushless fans of the same size from someone other than Dell... I believe 3.5 is close to 90 mm? The information I got when looking around was: FAN 12V DC 0.70A 92MM BY 25MM 3 5/8 BY 1 INCHE, 13 INCH 3 WIRE DATECH. Maybe you could look for some brushless close to those specs.
