Question about front audio inputs.

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am putting together a lanparty nf4 sli-dr with a silverstone lc13-b and i have a question about two front panel connectors.

The first is the audio(green & red) front connector reading HD Audio and AC' 97:

The second is a 1394 connector which i know where to place on the mobo. However it also contains 7 other pins:

If you are unable to see this pins, they read:

VG,TPB-,SHIELD,VP,TPB+,tpa-,tpa+

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me out as to where i need to place these connections on my motherboard. Any help would be appreciated.

The front audio ports go on the karjarian audio moduel itself. But before you go and go that you should or you must follow the initial build guide when building a DFI system to the letter.http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread...ial+build+guide Also your PSU and your ram are going to cause you problems for sure if you don't the power supply may or may not be enough Thermaltake PSUs are on the DFI avoid list and LanParty boards don't like Value Ram so you most likely will need to input the timings manualy after you have followed the guide and memtested each moduel individualy and loaded the optimised defualts.

Someone jump in here and correct me if I'm wrong but I believe you find all you're looking for on pages 46 thru 51 of the manual.

As for the 1394a plug, again I believe as I can't "handle" it, the individual plugs should be coming out the backside of the assembly to acommodate connectiong to a non-standard 1394a header.

ya so for the 1394 just plug in the big socket into the pins, and seperate the rest of the pins so they dont touch each other
