red930 Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 Those calculators are a waste of time. I sometimes feel sorry for people that take the output of these power calculators seriously. Their own disclaimer says as much. "Total Amperage Available on the +12V Rail(s) is the most important, followed by the +5V amperage and then the +3.3V amperage." As long as PSU vendors rate their output at 25C internal temps, people will get power supplies that end up running at close to maximum output all of the time limiting their useful life.
